Vault Server: Replication Management

Before a replication of several Vault Servers can be performed, the individual Vault Servers need to be configured separately. The following steps are required at all locations:

The configuration takes place via the Vault Server configuration file (VSConfig.exe). The Remote Servers are managed via the same-named tab. Three options are available:

Add another Vault Server,
Change the data of a remote server,
Delete a remote Vault Server.

When adding a remote server, the following fields must be filled in:

Logical name of the remote server,
IP address r computer name in DNS,
Timeout for this connection (Default 60 s),
Acoustic signal for waiting time > 10 s. (optional).

The program RStart.exe is started on the local Vault Server, connects as a client to all remote servers specified in the configuration, and transfers all changes from the remote Vault Servers to the local Vault Server. For a complete data exchange, the replication must be started once on each Vault Server.

The replication process will be logged in a file in the Logfiles directory of the corresponding Vault Server.
